Our Heritage: From Club Roots to Industry Leader

Tonka’s story began in the early ’70s with local four-wheel drive clubs. Our founders helped launch the Alberta Mud Bog Association—which later became the Canadian Mud Racing Association—cementing Tonka’s reputation as part of the province’s off‑road grassroots movement.
This deep connection to the off-road community shaped our approach to business. What started as a passion project has evolved into Western Canada’s premier 4×4 specialist, without ever losing touch with our racing roots and adventurous spirit.
